Chris, 
The first link is to the developers thread.  If you read the thread,
you'll see that the patch is attached to a May 28 post.  You can then
down load the patch itself and do testing. I copied Erik, because he
is the current claws-mail slackbuild maintainer, he might
be interested in this development, and the release of 3.17.5 and
functionality on 14.2 would be of helpful for updating SBo.
