I would really like to compile claws-mail from git but this seems to be harder
than I thought.

On FreeBSD claws-mail should compile at least from packages, but it doesn't
(fails with two different machines, I have informed the package maintainer).
Apparently neither GTK nor X are found. 

I have then tried to install on Debian Buster. There configure.ac starts with
“possibly undefined macro: AC_LIB_PREFIX” until configure stops with “cannot
find install-sh, install.sh, or shtool in config "."/config”. 

I short: I fear, I am just not capable to install claws-mail from git :-(

One afterthought: The broken “To:” field is rendered correctly in Sylpheed
3.7.0.
