couple of changes required for building

Hi,

I am a Python maintainer for SUSE and we are in the process of removing python2
from openSUSE/Factory and so I have tried to build claws-mail with this patch.
I had to add a little bit more changes, but still the build fails.

Any idea how to proceed?
