Both Google (Gmail) and Microsoft (Outlook) specifically mention
"OAuth2".  There is a bit of information here: <https://oauth.net/2/>.

In any case, it would be nice if we could get a BETA released so users
could give it a test drive in the real world and see if it is going to
work.
