This is very unfair and unjustified. We need to be very grateful for
the existence of Claws, and have a lot of respect for those who
maintain it - gratos.
I do not know whether 'Paul' is the person in question, but he is very
helpful answering queries on this mailList.

One reason I changed to it. I started Linux e-mail decades ago with
Sylpheed (the ancestor of Claws, and still going). But I suspect it is
now less capable, and spossibly archaic (I see GTK+2 for it).

I am often surprised at the intricate facilities Claws users profit
from - or request. Subtle refinements, complicated gestion. What
matters above all is its basic e-mail client functionality. Certainly
it has warts, but unless you can do better...
