Hello,

In Claws one possibility to sync contacts (calendars) with the external world
is e.g. to use Card/Cal-DAV server and something like khard/vdirsyncer.
Unfortunately, vdirsyncer is looking for a new maintainer, so І did some search
about possible alternatives...

By looking what is used in Mutt, I see there is an intersting app with several
helpers called LBDB - The Little Brother's Database
(https://www.spinnaker.de/lbdb/). One helper module is:

m_evolution: This module queries the Ximian Evolution address book using the
evolution-addressbook-export application. 

and I have found things like:

so wonder if something like that could be used within Claws for querying
external sources like Evolution's addressbooks or it is not possible to do such
things without deeper surgery on Claws' codebase?
