Unfortunately, I'm afraid you are correct... 
Your access works correctly, some of the tests you did prove it.
claws-mail.org works correctly, some have run a git clone to prove it.
So, the problem is in between... but none of us has the control knobs
required to test the various parts of the link from you to CM and identify
which part is problematic.
And though I can reach netops from these backbones on some IRC channel,
asking them to investigate would imply being able to run tests in return,
which I can't do...
