OK, I tested this some more. I can save some emails with attachments, but not
others. I am not quite certain what the differences are, except for the number
of attachments (all attachments were PDF files) - as far as I can see, I can
save emails with up to two attachments, but not with more than two attachments.
(This might be due to the small number of emails I can test this on, though).

I installed the 32bit version of Claws Mail, the problem occurs there as well:
I cannot save the three-attachment message, but I can save the two-attachment
message.
