Probably by defining a filter rule that explicitly deals with the someone@
instance forcing it into Inbox, and following it with another filter rule that 
says anything @domain.com should go to the promotion folder.   

Because the someone@ emails will be processed by the earlier filter rule
they wll not be considered for the following rule.
