You can clone the git repo and then build from that, I do this on
Fedora with some local tweaks. Not sure if this will work unchanged on
SuSE.

The first step is to be able to build your own rpms on SuSE, so
probably worth looking for SuSE-specific instructions to do that first
and getting it working with a standard package.
