George's problem is that he's looking for instructions for SuSE and
rpmbuild whereas understandably Claws only includes generic
instructions for building from the tarball and not for creating a
distro-friendly package.

I am unsure if the way I do this on Fedora would help, there are a few
other things that have to be set up that are probably different on
SuSE. I also still install the fancy plugin and that involves some
faffing about to overcome Fedora's removal of the old webkit stuff.
