[Users] How can I display latest messages without auto selecting one of them?

Without statistical info based on user feedback, that would need a more
careful look I think.

In current.png there is a black icon with thin lines on medium dark
blue. Definitely not an eye catcher. So the only visual clue is the
thickness of the letters (which is a tiny difference with white on blue
text)

In proposed.png the black icon is on bright background and the bold
text is much more readable and instantly pops visually. It also
doesn't create the impression that the message is already selected.
Normally selected UI elements are a visual clue that the element is
being acted upon and in this case it is not.

Perhaps if it is not too difficult to implement the proposal it may be
worth considering. Up to you of course, it is your program :)

Perhaps changing blue to something lighter would work but then all
selection backgrounds would change to that and reduce the way
selections contrast currently.
