It might happen to have some file corruption, for example if you
experienced some power loss or hard reboot. Generally in the
configuration folder for claws mail (~./claws-mail ) you should also
have the backups as claws mail automatically do save backups. Check in
there to recover what you lost.
Without further info it's hard to diagnose what could have happened.
