From a user point of view it's a PITA, that so many projects migrate
from one (third party or not third party) platform to another. From
sourceforge to github, from github to gitlab. Some transfer old bug
reports from bugzilla, flyspray and Co. to gitlab other just migrate
parts of a project from bugzilla, flyspray and Co. to gitlab, without
transferring the old bug reports, let alone that other parts of the
project don't migrate at all. Projects that expect participation of the
user's community should only migrate from one platform to another, if a
platform's project is dead, IOW if the migration should be really
needed, not just regarding a few features, let alone overstated
points of view regarding politics.
