[Users] Delete no longer moves to next message (change in behavior from 3.10 to 3.14)

Hello,

long, looong, time Claws user, first time I had the need to subscribe here.

Tried googling to no avail, which is odd since I'm sure others must have
piped up about this.

I just upgraded my main workstation from Debian Wheezy to Jessie and Claws
Mail from 3.10.1 to 3.14.1.

When deleting a message (DELETE key) Claws no long moves to the next
message but instead the selection stays in the same position and thus the
previous mail becomes highlighted.

Is this 
a) desired and a conscious design change?
b) can the previous behavior be re-enabled?
