Did you follow the directions on this URL:
https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail

I use Port 587 with TLS for SMTP and Port 993 with SSL for IMAP. Make sure you
are using the correct servers.
