Seems to have solved by problems with fancy too. 

Seems running update-mime-database does not generate
user-extension-html.xml again so maybe simply remove the file if present is enough?

ll ~/.local/share/mime/packages/user-extension-html.xml 
ls: cannot access '/home/mir/.local/share/mime/packages/user-extension-html.xml': No such file or directory
