Just for the record, this has hit Fedora's distribution upgrade from 24 to
25, too, and may downgrade Claws Mail from 3.14.0 to 3.13.2 for early
adaptors. The newer package had not been released as a zero day update due
to relying on automatically publishing it based on tester karma points in
the Fedora Update System. The corresponding update for the older Fedora 24
had been auto-published much earlier than the update for Fedora 25.

So, here it's been a distributor/packager mistake. That can be avoided in
the future, if making sure that packages for the very latest release of
the distribution always will be ahead of the current dist and older dist
releases. Sure, it would be nice, if that were not a manual task for the
packagers when publishing updates for multiple distribution releases, but
well, due to late release procedure related freeze stages, it has always
been a risk to upgrade/replace an up-to-date current distribution with the
brand-new release of the distribution due to the possibility of downgrading
some software.
