At the moment it just allows you to use the content of the default address book
defined in evolution data server for address completions.

In my settings it is a CardDAV address book which I also sync on my phone.

At the moment, the plugin does not deal with Calendars and it does *not* allow
to edit CardDAV address book's contacts.

On my desktop, I use gnome-contacts to manage the addresses.
