Claws Users,

I just compiled the git version of Claws in Kubuntu 16.04.01 with just
less than perfect results. I couldn't get the Fancy plugin to build and
install.

After autogen.sh and this: "./configure
--build=x86_64-kubuntu-linux-gnu --disable-maintainer-mode
--prefix=/usr --disable-s tatic --enable-silent-rules --disable-jpilot
--enable-enchant --enable-gnutls --enable-ldap --enable -crash-dialog
--enable-pgpmime-plugin --enable-spamassassin-plugin
--enable-bogofilter-plugin", the config.log file has the following
messages.

==========
configure:20934: checking for WEBKIT
configure:20941: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "webkit-1.0 >=
1.1.14" Package webkit-1.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `webkit-1.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'webkit-1.0' found
configure:20944: $? = 1
configure:20958: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "webkit-1.0 >=
1.1.14"
Package webkit-1.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `webkit-1.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'webkit-1.0' found
configure:20961: $? = 1
configure:20975: result: no
No package 'webkit-1.0' found
...
configure:22704: checking whether to build fancy plugin
configure:22721: result: no
configure:22723: WARNING: "Plugin fancy will not be built; missing
libwebkit-1.0 "
===========
Executing 'locate webkit | grep "webkit-1\.0"' returns:
 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig/webkit-1.0.pc

My question is, since the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable doesn't
exist, how do I reconcile this?

Feel free to point out the obvious answer in what I just pasted from
the config.log file.

Thank you for your collected wisdom,
Mike Yetto
