The erroneous mailto: prefix has been fixed, thanks for reporting this.

As for <skype:bob at somewhere.xyz> not being recognized, it is because .xyz is
not a valid top level domain. It has nothing to do with the skype: prefix, for
example <skype:bob at somewhere.com> should be recognized just fine.
