[Users] Message and folder display

I was looking around in the preferences for quite some time, but I wasn't able to find a way how to change two things, so I'll ask here.
First, is there any option to turn off the grey background for every second line in both folder and message list? I prefer to have all lines on white background...
And second, I don't understand how accounts are sorted in the folder list. The position in the "edit accounts" window apparently does not have any effect on the folder list, I have tried to move accounts up and down and the position of all accounts in the folder list remained the same. However, when I did refresh the folder list for any account, that account moved to the very bottom of the folder list, which is even more strange.
