If that is the case in your account preferences, then the option on
the 'Others' tab in the Compose window would be ticked and
automatically filled accordingly.

You said that when you ensure the Others tab is appropriately filled,
then they are saved without problem. But now you're again saying that
they are not saved.

For me, you are not making much sense.
