Recently, my Claws has been crashing frequently on certain emails with some
kind of content beyond plain text.  I have tried complete uninstalling and
reinstall Claws.  I also tried Sylpheed, which seemed to be able to handle it.

In particular, I just received an email someone sent me from their iphone that
caused Claws to crash. I was able to read the email via Roundcube webmail, and
I used Roundcube to forward it to me, in parts. I narrowed down the issue to a
a smiley face emoticon, which I have copy-pasted here ->
