[Users] Drafts considered "new" mail

Claws-mail 3.11.1-3 on Debian Jessie 8.1 AMD 64.

I have noticed a change from 3.8.1 to 3.11.1. When I have a draft email
open for editing (like this one now), claws-mail considers it a "new"
email. Claws highlights it in the folder view. It also indicates a
"new" email in XFCE's notification area. I believe this is a false
positive, and it rather lowers the value of the notification area.

Going to the drafts folder and turning off the "new" indicator does not
work because when you then save the edited draft, Claws considers it
new again. And it is a manual intervention where I would refer an
automatic intervention.

Is there any way to turn off this behavior?
