Hi, you are completely right, current situation is rather unfortunate.
The main issue for the longest time was that nobody was unable to
actually build the Windows version, let alone do something more about
it, and the person who worked on this in the past unfortunately does not
have much time for Claws Mail lately.

Good news is that in past few weeks, we were able to spend some (too
many, some would say :) ) hours and made good progress. The current plan
is to release an updated Windows build along with next regular release,
in a few weeks. This will include update to almost every component of
the Windows package - Claws Mail, Gnutls, GTK+, Glib among the largest
ones.

So, just be a bit more patient, the release is coming. :)
