You're still talking about moving ('move to trash), you are not
talking about Delete.

Looking back to your comments after 3.13.0 was released, you made
exactly the same mistake there.

The changes around this were instigated by a thread on this mailing
list back in July. Everyone had an opportunity then to voice any
opinions, but few did. Certainly you didn't.

Anyway, to cut it short: There will be more changes around this in
the next release, time allowing.
