I wanted to do something similar (in my case: restrict the function to
the current mailbox). What I did was actually not using the "Go to Next
unread message" feature from Claws Mail, but re-implementing it with
the Python plugin.
The attached script does not behave exactly like the built-in feature
(e.g., no confirmation if switching folders, and it only selects the
new folders, so whether or not a message is directly displayed depends
on other settings), and is a bit hacky, but the result is the way I
like it to work.
