Funny that you should mention that now, as it's been this way for many years,
and I know that you have been using Claws for almost as many years, and it's a
design decision rather than a bug. The reason is for speed improvements if
messages aren't scanned. However, if the messages are filtered, they will be
scanned and display any attachments icons 'immediately'.
