I've been having the same problem for the past week or so. And I
checked and it is set up properly for imap.

I have been accessing this account with imap for at least a year and it
normally works fine. Several months ago this same error started popping
up. After a couple of weeks it stopped giving me the error message.

When Claws Mail tries to access the server it pops up an error message
that the certificate is out of date. There is an option to cancel the
connection or "accept and save." I always click on "accept and save,"
but Claws Mail apparently does not save the certificate.

I also note that if I access the server again within a few minutes of
the first access I do not get the popup. I haven't bothered to test
this to see how long it takes before Claws Mail forgets the certificate.

I have Claws Mail 3.8.1, installed from the repositories on Xubuntu
13.10. The account in question is a gmail account for my university.
