it seems like bug 2753 and bug 3178 are in fact duplicates of each
other.

But I am not quite sure that bug 2753 and bug 3178 are duplicates of
bug 2665.

Maybe the Ubuntu Unity launcher integration could be made as a
plugin ;)?
