I'll reserve Wireshark for a "last resort" type of thing, because I
don't know it and think it would take me about 2 days to learn it well
enough to use it confidently. I just installed and briefly looked at
it, and it looks to me like you have to make some sort of config file
before doing anything: You can't just say "wireshark eth0".
So if you know of any other diagnostic tests nor requiring knowing a
complex tool, I'd like to try those first.
