I did say I having horrendous problems with mail now, the problem with lost mail I'm sure the
exchange server.
in a previous answer pulled from the archives:-

To avoid your account using different login methods instead of default
which is 'automatic' you should configure it to use 'login'. This will
prevent changing login method over time.

Here is the problem Micheal , someone in their wisdom at the weekend has removed the "LOGIN"
capability.

From the log file:-

[10:59:31] IMAP4< 2 OK CAPABILITY completed. 
[10:59:31] IMAP4> Logging richard at g8jvm.com to imap.exchange.simply.ms using GSSAPI
[10:59:31] IMAP4< CAPABILITY completed.
** IMAP error on imap.exchange.simply.ms: LOGIN error

This shows that only NTLM, GSSAPI and PLAIN are recognised now

I've tried setting to GSSAPI but that fails
setting automatic starts as GSSAPI then changes to LOGIN, resulting in the authentication error.

Luckily they have left the ESMPT server to accept LOGIN and PLAIN.

How can I stop CM reverting to LOGIN when it starts with GSSAPI  ????
