[Users] MS Exchange 2010 & IMAP

Hi

Back in April last year I was getting horrendous delays when changing
folders, which part was due to my ISP and part due to my mail providers
MS exchange server.
I couldn't resolve the issues which didn't appear with TBird, so
reluctantly I change over to TBird. Since then my ISP has upped the
speed to 30 Mb.

However, at the weekend i was getting continuous password rejection from
the exchange 2010 sever. I've spent most of the day trying to get this
resolved with the
mail host, but to very little avail. Apart from finding they changed to
STARTTLS
I've been trying to get CM to work,  so far
I have Authentication method set to automatic, and on start-up, all
folders are scanned and new mail delivered, but when change folders
I'm getting authentication failure and my password is requested.
Looking at the network log i have this:-

It appears to me that its using GSSAPI initially then drops back to
LOGIN, as I can move through the mail
folders about five times, then the next time I get an authentication error

This problem appeared at the weekend and effect all three mail clients I
have, including the imap mail client on my Android
mobile phone.

I'm using Tbird to send this as I still have to get smtp to function
again on CM , but Tbird is as flakey as hell with what ever has changed,
so I'd like to be able to use CM again as at the moment its marginally
more stable

How do I make sure the authentication handshaking between CM and this 
damn exchange 2010 server stay the same, please ????
