[Users] sent account not corrosponding to current mailbox

Have you checked Preferences -> Compose -> Writing -> (Options on top).
Which layout are you using (standard or one of the optimized layout).
If you're not trying Standard layout, give it a shot to see if it makes
a difference.

I just verified here that for all three accounts I use it behaves like
expected (compose and reply).
