Don't really see any need to remove the version number from the title, or to
add yet another preference for just enabling/disabling its display.

You might find more acceptance if you made the title configurable. So that it
reads as it does by default but can be "constructed" from a sequence of
variables, like so:

Name %version% %unread-count% %active-account-name%

Named those 3 just to get you thinking. As you can see with Claws-Mail, more is
better. :)
