When I had similar setup running Dovecot on my localhost (fetching mail
with getmail) and accesing it with Claws, I used getmail/maildrop combo
for sorting/filtering and in that way when accesing it via Claws,
everything was ready - no virus scanning and filtering.
However, I did conclude that such setup is just too much admin work and
now I'm happy filtering with Claws only.
It's very powerful, easier to change etc.
