[Users] Usenet problem

I was wondering if anyone has ever found that one's posts to a Usenet
group don't show up in CM. I'm trying to post to one in the
uk.food+drink* section and although my posts appear on Google reader
they don't in CM.

If, on the other hand, I reply to a message, then I see my post.

If anyone's encountered this before I'd be grateful to hear any
suggestions.
