No problem for me either, using GtkhtmlViewer 0.31 (and Claws 3.8.0).
When I clicked "Load remote images", the following tests triggered:
5,7,11,18,19.

Upgrade, the triggering test is the html/manifest one, and it's fixed
since (by 0.30cvs3 and 0.30cvs4).
