It will likely break SNI setups (though I don't have one to test right
now, will try that later).

But that's not the main point. The point is: It will stick to an old
standard with weaker cryptography and force that upon users.

(and just for curiosity - can you name that provider? I wonder who
makes "changes" to not support TLS any more in 2012 - and with what
intention)
