You're not kidding. When I first saw Claws' "Mark instead of delete", I
thought it was a bug. I actually still do. But it's a darn useful
"bug", and I use it constantly, and even when I found out how to
configure Claws to do the "normal" thing and put deleted stuff in
trash, I kept it at its "buggy" default. :-)

If the Claws Crew ever does make moving to an unpulled body yield
a blank body, you could probably doubleclick the last email you want to
keep, so it stays persistent.

Ugh!

That strikes me as convoluted and surprising, but then again, that's
what documentation is for :-)
