first, I have not said that, and I am not making senseless criticism, i am
making a suggestion, no need to take it personal 

they also build for "1000" years the famous london taxi which under all
considerations evolved from a hackney cab to the black cab, but nevertheless is
the most ugly car on earth after the sudden Trabbi Death (Trabant of former
DDR)

but after consideration of all this valid epic history, nobody will buy such a
car for private use ...

so what I am saying is, nothing can be taken for granted as valid only because
it was valid yesterday or over 100 years before ...

also, please do not forget the most important factor here: for small work
anything may serve, for serious work you need serious tools

your other point, if I wanted it for me, I can do it myself for me and would
not post it here, but no problem, what I certainly not wanted is turning this
into a personal discussion. If you would take considerations serious then it
would be YOU who should take it to the user-list and ask for opinions

consider this: I never heard of Claws-Mail before ... I needed a first-aid
solutions for a serious problem. My preferred Seamonkey is actually broken on
FreeBSD. KMail with new Akonadi integrations is not usable for me. Thunderbird
is unusable because of missing browser integration. Gnu-mail is way to old and
ugly. So what? All my support personal, actually over 300 technicians needed an
email client on their machines. After trying and intense searching I found
Claws-Mail. Long story short: why is it that I never heard of it before? Can
you answer it? 

What most ex-users would answer is: it is good, fast, small but there is
something I do not like, don't know what.

Now somebody came and said it. And I am only resuming the opinion of roundabout
300 email professionals. So here is nothing personal, my folks need a good
tool, that's all.
