Summary: claws-mails corrupts a file that is sent as an
                    attachment
           Product: Claws Mail
           Version: 3.8.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: Plugins/Privacy
        AssignedTo: users at lists.claws-mail.org
        ReportedBy: mike at suremail.info

Claws-mail should not cause an attached file to change from sender to receiver.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Type a TeX file, e.g.: gedit test.tex
2) cp test.tex text
3) Start claws-mail and compose a new email
4) Attach the files "text" and "test.tex"
5) Send the email encrypted with PGP/MIME to yourself
6) Receive email and save the attached files
7) Check the filesize of the newly saved files: ls -l text test.tex
8) Be surprised that "test.tex" is couple of bytes larger than "text" because
the eols got converted

Thunderbird, for example, is more friendly to its user and does not corrupt
files in this situation.

So please fix this - either ignore the rfc for this or reverse the conversion
on save or at very least give a scary warning message that the file will get
corrupted. Obviously claws-mail can send files intact (the same file with only
a different name(!) gets send correctly) and the use cannot be expected to
memorize all the magic file names that cause the conversion.
