I can reproduce. This is unexpected that you can close the "Edit
account" dialog while there's an "Account preferences" dialog open.

There must be something wrong for sure: I also noticed that, in Windows,
when you edit an account, the "Account preferences" dialog opens up,
but the focus goes back to the "Edit accounts" dialog.
