[Users] lost toolbar on main window

I do this routinely - without any problems.

Probably it depends on HOW you copy the directory.
I use rsync (rsync -av - to be precise) which ensures that the permissions are the same.

Still you also want to make sure that both machines use the same userid (uid - I mean).
If your user account 'Joe' has uid 1000 on machine 1 but the same user 'Joe' has uid 1005 on machine 2 it won't work!
