[Users] claws segfaults

while trying to log in to newsgroup.
Version is 3,7,10 on Gentoo linux kernel gentoo-sources-3.1.1

When I start claws on the console I get this error message:

Segmentation fault

I remember a bug exists for this issue but cannot find it. But I also
remember that this bug had been closed/resolved.
It has resurfaced.

Does anyone have a fix?
