Thanks, that is encouraging. So is the Mate project, but I'll wait on
that until it's in Debian stable or backports. Which will be a while, if
ever.
I'm moving from Ubuntu to Debian partly to get away from Gnome 3/Unity,
but mainly because stability and continuity are more important to me
than the latest bells and whistles.
