It's probably due to the decoding/encoding changes in prefs_gtk.c,
then? (3.11.1-17-ga206800 not -19).

Could you try to investigate it? it doesn't explain the auto-drafting
crashes though. 

I'm unsure it's a good idea to move away from our implementation if
these bugs prove to be on glib side...
