Well, I know how IMAP works and that my system does not have a "actual mail file directory" for IMAP folders. The thing is, while my working habbits don't allow me to switch to POP3, I often suffer from bad or no internet connection and so I keep my folder synchronized regulary - to read old mails offline if necessary. Especially for privacy issues but also for the sake of a clean directory structure I don't want these mails hang around in a weired hidden folder. Instead I want them to be in the neigborhood of my local mailboxes.<br/>

Thanks for the hint. Unfourtunatly the folder for incoming mails can NOT be configured there (at least not with my gui). Furthermore the handling of outgoing mails is not working the way I am looking for. Outgoing mails are only saved in the chosen (local) folder not in the IMAP account (and therefore cannot be accessed from another machine).</div></div></body></html>
