<div>Maybe. But maybe not. Because, by searchng for this strange certificate change, I found numorous reports dated 2012, 2014, etc.. describing same or a very similar issue with Google certificate, related to claws-mail.</div>

<div>And, just couple of months ago there was an issue with the mailer v3.17.1 and earlier, which resulted in CM presenting you with a new Google certificate whose owner and a signator is: invalid2.invalid ! This issue with the certificate invalid2.invalid was fixed in CM version 3.17.3 (fixed Server Name Indication (SNI for TLS), bug 4103 - the prime suspect was libetpan, but later it has been shown the culprit was claws-mail.</div>
